Aaron Craig Heywood, 30, of Portsmouth, died Monday, September 5, 2016, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, after a sudden period of failing health.
He was born in Peterborough, on August 14, 1986 to Robert C. Heywood, Jr. and Julie M. (Descoteaux) Heywood. He moved to the Dover area while in elementary school and was a resident there since.
He worked in the kitchen for various seacoast restaurants as well as for his dad’s construction firm.
He enjoyed fishing, and being on the water, as well as playing baseball and football.
He is survived by his father: Robert C. Heywood, Jr and his girlfriend Violet Snow of Pittsburg; his mother: Julie M. Buckner and her husband Bill of Thornton; his siblings: Robert C. Heywood, III, Corey Heywood, Dean “DJ” Donnell and Hunter Heywood; his paternal grandmother: Della Heywood of New Ipswich; his maternal grandparents: Eileene and Thomas Descoteaux; three aunts: Debra J. Franoli, Charlene A. Scott and Patricia A. Heywood; four uncles: Craig Descoteaux, Randel K. Heywood, Douglas J. Heywood and Jerry J. Heywood; as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Robert C. Heywood, Sr.
Memorial Services for Aaron will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St., Jaffrey, at 4:30 with Rev. David Jadlocki officiating. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 3:00 PM.
