Alan D. Wheeler

October 24, 1988 — December 18, 2022

Alan D. Wheeler, 34, a lifelong resident of Jaffrey, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

He was born on October 24, 1988, in Keene, NH, the son of Dan and Laura (Cox) Wheeler. He attended Conant High School but flourished at Victory High School and graduated in 2007.

Alan remained close to home and worked for several local merchants, including, most recently, Hannaford’s in Rindge, where he worked diligently in the stock area unloading trucks.

His hobbies included a passion for music, and he loved to cook and, of course, loved to eat also. He adored his nieces and nephews, and any time spent with them. Alan also enjoyed being physically fit and working out. Alan spent much of his time studying politics and could spend hours debating our nation’s issues with anyone – no matter which side they were on.

Alan will always be remembered for his love of the holidays and spending quality time with family. He especially loved Halloween and all of its endearing spookiness. His family will miss his amazing qualities of being funny, loving, and kind, and constantly being a cheerleader to all. They will also miss how charming and charismatic he was, and his intelligence and quick wit.

Alan is survived by his parents; his sisters, Sarah Pszyk of Rindge, Emily Wiete of Terra Haute, Indiana, and Rachael and Rebecca Wheeler, both of Peterborough, NH, his brothers, Andrew P. Wheeler of Wakefield, MA and Adam Stone of Hudson, NH, as well as many loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews Cousins and friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to Calling Hours which will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 South) in Jaffrey, NH from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at the Cournoyer Funeral Home immediately following calling hours at 5:00 PM. Rev. Mark Koyama, Pastor of the United Church in Jaffrey will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, Alan’s family has requested memorial contributions be made in his name to Reality Check, 17 Turnpike Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
