Alice May Flanders

Alice May Flanders, 86, of Jaffrey, passed away on September 30, 2024 at Monadnock Community Hospital. Born in Concord, NH to the late Lester and Edith (Adams) Hill, she grew up in Antrim, graduating from Antrim High School and attending Plymouth State College. She worked as Office Manager at Goodell Company in Antrim until it closed, and retired from Human Resources at Crotched Mountain Foundation in Greenfield.

She was married to Robert Flanders for 61 years until his death in 2019. The two of them were actively engaged in the community of Antrim including the Antrim Players, Historical Society, Lion’s Club, Presbyterian Church and many other endeavors over the years. They enjoyed spending time at their camp in Columbia, NH and raising Boxer dogs.

Alice May is survived by her daughter, Debra Flanders of Jaffrey, her extended family and her beloved daily canine companion, Maggie. She was pre deceased by her sister Nancy Tewksbury. 

Alice May will be laid to rest with Robert at Maplewood cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Santa in Antrim care of Ann Gilbert 58 Wheelers Cove, Antrim, NH, 03440, a project she was involved in for many years.
