Ann Mary Record

Ann Mary Record passed away peacefully at the Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in the early morning hours of December 6, 2024, at the age of 101 and 10 months.

Ann was born on February 7, 1923, in Flushing, New York, to the late James Kirkman and Anna (Keegan) Kirkman.

She was one of the earliest employees at New Hampshire Ball Bearings and stayed until retirement. She really enjoyed her younger days, having lived in Florida for many years before returning to New Hampshire to be close to family. Her favorite pastime was cooking and having friends over for dinner. Her spaghetti and meatballs were legendary. A previous hobby of hers was gardening until she was no longer able. As a strong independent woman living alone after her husband died, she took up reading and learned how to use a computer. Visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always the highlight of her day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, in 2006, and she leaves behind two sons, James Record of Jaffrey, NH, and Scott Record of Troy. She also leaves behind a daughter, Cheryl Landriani of Hancock, NH, as well as 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her beloved cat "Lady Jane," her cousins, and many friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Calling Hour which will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 South) in Jaffrey, NH.

A Memorial Service will be held immediately following calling hours at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Stephen G. Miller, Pastor of the First Church in Jaffrey, will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring in Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey. 

In lieu of flowers, Ann requested memorial contributions be made in her name to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446, or to Monadnock Kitty Rescue & Adoption, 11 Plantation Drive, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
