ANNA F. PICKFORD, 86, of Goldmine Road, Dublin died Saturday February 21, 2009 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough.
She was born August 30, 1922 in Nashua, daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Cooley) Hurley.
She was a 1940 graduate of the former Wilton High School and following graduation had attended a local two year business college.
Mrs. Pickford has been a resident of Dublin since 1940.
She was a former employee of the American Guernsey Cattle club in Peterborough and had also worked at the New Hampshire Ball Bearing Co. in Peterborough. However her main occupation was bookkeeper for her husbands plumbing and heating business in Dublin.
Mrs. Pickford was an active member of the former Our Lady of the Snows Womens Guild, the Dublin Womens Club and presently was a communicant of St Peter Church of the Divine Mercy Parish.
She loved music and played several instruments including the piano, organ and harmonica. She liked to draw but she most cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years Hubert T. Pickford of Dublin; two daughters Kathleen Stacy and her husband Gary of Antrim, Mary Edick and husband Bob of Dublin; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Dublin Public Library, Childrens Program, Main Street, Box 442, Dublin New Hampshire 03444.
Spring burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Peterborough at the convenience of the family.
The family warmly invites friends to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 south) in Jaffrey on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00PM.
A Mass a Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 11:00AM in Saint Peter of the Divine Mercy Church, 18 Vine Street in Peterborough. Rev Cornelius J. Goggin will officiate.
