Anne E. Brown, 88, resident of Gardner, MA died on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Gardner Rehab, after a period of declining health.
She was born on February 22, 1929 in Templeton, MA. She is the daughter of the late Edmond and Julia (Conners) Jaillet.
Anne was raised and educated in OtterRiver MA, and graduated from Templeton High School in 1946. She married Howard G. Brown and together had four children. They lived in Leominster, MA for many years before retiring to Gardner.
She worked most of her life in the manufacturing field and as a devoted homemaker to her loving family.
Anne was an avid New England sports fan, especially when her beloved Boston Red Sox were playing. When not watching her Sox, there was nothing more important to her than her family. She is well known for her legendary chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter fudge.
In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by her loving husband Howard, her sister Mary Lavoie and her granddaughter, Colleen O’Loughlin.
Anne is survived by her sister, Sheila Erickson of Templeton, MA and her four children; son Michael and wife Patricia of Laurel, MD, her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Jim O’Loughlin of Rindge, NH, Joan and David Lewis of Easton, MA and Betty Brown of Westminster, MA. Anne will also be remembered by her loving grandchildren, Katie Maul, Shaun O’Loughlin, Jayme Brown, Rachel Brown, Erica Lewis, Sarah Lewis, and two great-grandchildren, Amelia Maul and Harper O’Loughlin. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street (US Rt. 202) Jaffrey, NH.
A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. All friends and family are invited to meet at the cemetery chapel.
