Anthony M. Olivo II, 57, resident of Rindge, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born November 14, 1958 in Keene, NH son of the late Anthony M. and Nancy (LaBelle) Olivo.
Tony had attended Jaffrey Schools and had lived in Jaffrey until moving to Rindge eight years ago.
Tony enlisted in the United States Marines and faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged.
He was a member of the John Humiston Post #11 of the American Legion in Jaffrey, and also a member of the Jaffrey Memorial Post #5613 VFW.
Tony had most recently worked at the Dollar Tree in Rindge until his illness caused him to stop. Previously he had worked at Wal Mart in Rindge, Kimball Farms in Jaffrey and also at the former Plumb Pac.
He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, cooking and trips to Hampton Beach with friends.
Survivors include his daughter Stephanie Mansur of Duluth, MN; a son Kenneth Olivo of Keene; six brothers Trevor Olivo of Jaffrey, Pete Olivo of Fitzwilliam, Timothy Olivo of Hancock, Troy Olivo of Indiana, Toni Lee Olivo and Terry Olivo both of Keene; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Donna Barlow and Ken Sawtelle.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Tracey Olivo in 1964.
A Celebration of Tony’s life will take place at the John Humiston Post Pavilion, Webster Street in Jaffrey on Saturday July 16, 2016 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM
Military Honors will be rendered at 2:00PM.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to his daughter Stephanie to assist in the cost of her traveling east for the funeral.
