Aric Blanchette

December 30, 1967 — January 17, 2021

Aric Blanchette, 53, of Greenfield and formerly of Hancock and Peterborough, died peacefully at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH on Sunday, January 17, 2021 following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Aric was born on December 30, 1967 in Peterborough, NH, son of the late Albert E. and Virginia (Johnston) Blanchette. He was a graduate of the ICS-Newport/ Pacific High School Program earning his diploma in 1986.

Aric while doing his schoolwork had his first job at F.J. McGregor’s, before enrolling in tractor-trailer school. In August of 1986 he graduated from Andover Tractor Trailer School beginning his journey of many tractor-trailer jobs throughout his life. He also enjoyed logging for himself having his own company called Blanchette Logging as well as the many companies he worked for. Most recently until his illness he worked for Horizon hauling Campers around the country. He established long term friendships and acquaintances during his career.

For 8 years Aric fueled his hobby of racing various models of racecars and at different tracks. Most importantly you would find him at Monadnock Speedway. In 2007 he grabbed himself a first place win at All-Star Speedway. There are many fond memories of the racing community.

Anything outdoors which gave him a thrill you would find him doing whether it was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, dirt biking, riding ATVs / UTV or just sitting around a campfire. In recent years almost every weekend was booked going on ATV rides with close friends many of the trips included Stewartstown, Gorham, Pittsburgh and Maine.

Aric simply loved to be spontaneous and the best memories were made just taking a Sunday drive creating adventures. The love of travel fit in line with his career and his many photographs of his trips driving he documented well. Montana held a special place in his heart it was a dream of his to move out there. And with the help of The Never Dunne Foundation he was able to fulfill a trip there in August of 2020.

Family was very important to Aric and he always made sure to have you laughing with his jokes or funny sayings. He will be greatly missed by his dog Maggie.
