Arnold L. Baldwin

Arnold L. Baldwin, 80, of Jaffrey, NH, died peacefully at the Pheasant Wood Healthcare Center in Peterborough on Sunday, May 6, 2018 after a period of failing health.

Arnold was born in Jaffrey and was a lifelong resident of the town. He was born on December 15, 1937, son of the late Godfrey and Blanche (Paradise) Baldwin. He was a 1956 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey.

Arnold was a skilled machinist and had owned and operated his own business in Jaffrey until he retired in 2013. He is fondly remembered for his many years coaching baseball and little league in town. He also enjoyed spending time during the warmer months by his pool with his family.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his wife Anne (Marrotte) Baldwin on June 17, 2004, and by his brother, Kit Winship.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Sue Cormier and her partner Bill Church of Amherst, NH and Sally Christian and her husband Eric of Jaffrey; his 2 sons, Steven Baldwin and his wife Karen of Dublin, NH and Scott Baldwin and his wife Lori of Bennington, NH; his 6 grandchildren, Jacob Cormier, Jason Cormier, Selina Baldwin, Liam Baldwin, Keith Christian and Kurt Christian, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Calling Hour which will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 South) in Jaffrey, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held immediately following calling hours at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey will officiate. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Jaffrey.

In lieu of flowers, Arnold requested memorial contributions be made in his name to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W Swanzey Rd, Swanzey, NH 03446
