Beatrice M. Cook, 73, passed away peacefully at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, on Monday, February 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Beatrice was born in Burlington, Vermont, on March 18, 1951, a daughter of the late Harold J. and Blanche (Hance) Beshaw. She was a 1968 graduate of South Burlington (VT) High School, and would eventually move to Randolph, VT to raise her children. Her first husband, Merrill A. McGrail, died in 1988, and later, Beatrice would eventually marry Samuel ‘Sam’ Cook. Together they made their new home in Greenville, New Hampshire.

Beatrice, otherwise known as ‘Aunt Bea,’ to many of her children’s friends, was an incredibly talented crochetier. She would make many blankets, dolls, and scarves for her friends and family throughout the years. Beatrice was also an avid fan of country music but would always refer to Elvis Presley as her first love. She was also a dog lover. Over the years, Beatrice had many special friends. With Mickey being her first, then Buddy, and lastly, Molly.

Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Sam in 2015, and by her brothers, Butch and Arthur Beshaw.

Beatrice will be greatly missed by her children, Mary (Carl) Webber of New Ipswich, NH, and Harold Beshaw of Carlisle, PA; her five grandchildren: Mary Ruth, Alex, Lucas, Daniel, and Emma; her sister, Blanche (Kevin) McCabe of Windsor, VT, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As per her wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who gave Beatrice the love and care she needed at the Carpenter Home and at Maplewood Nursing Home. She dearly loved all of her nurses.
