Ben was born on October 11, 1940 in Manchester By-The-Sea, Massachusetts. He graduated from Story High School in 1958 and joined the U.S. Navy where he served for three years.
He married Frances Baker in 1963. They moved to Fitzwilliam, N.H., in 1967, where they lived for the next 50 years.

In 1977 he began working for the Boston and Maine Railroad as a maintenance away mechanic. He retired from the railroad in 2002.
All during this time, he nurtured his love of gardening, which developed into Bullock’s Farmstand in the early 1980s. Well known for their quality plants, fruits, vegetables, and berries, Ben and Frances operated the farmstand for almost 40 years together.
Ben is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Frances Baker Bullock and his daughters: Amanda Moran and her husband Tom Moran of Fitzwilliam; Sarah Bullock Glaholt, Pharm.D. and her husband Corry Glaholt of Ravenel, S.C.; Rebeckah Bullock and her husband Richard Brackett of Fitzwilliam; and Hannah Bullock, Ph.D. and her husband Norman Hassell III of Johns Creek, G.A.
