Beverly "Bev" Taylor

May 15, 1951 — August 30, 2017

Beverly A. Taylor, 66, of Jaffrey died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Wednesday August 30, 2017 while her husband was by her side.

She was born on May 15, 1951 in Fitchburg, MA, a daughter of the late Eino and Irene (Gravel) Helstein.

Raised and educated in Mason, NH, Beverly had attended Appleton Academy. In 1975 she met Vernon ‘Butch’ Taylor and they married on August 27, 1977.

Bev lovingly raised her family and remained busy at home. She was very active lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary at the John Humiston American Legion Post #11 in Jaffrey and enjoyed volunteering in many ways throughout the communities of Jaffrey and Rindge. Later, she worked as a manager at Rite Aid in Jaffrey and for the past 11 years had been working at CarQuest in Jaffrey.

When Butch retired from his Military Career in 2000, they were able to travel around the country for a while before buying their home in Jaffrey and settling down. Through her life, Bev had always loved the ocean and lighthouses, enjoyed cheering for her Red Sox and playing Bingo.

Bev was blessed to have celebrated being married to the love of her life for 40 years just this past Sunday. She is survived by her loving husband Butch of Jaffrey, NH, her daughter Maribeth Montstream of East Windsor, CT; her sons Theodore ‘Ted’ Taylor and his wife Jess of Wilton, NH, Scott Taylor of Windsor, NH, and Eric Taylor and his wife Valerie of Greenfield, NH; her grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Tim, Ally, Zachary, Ashley, and Casey; her great-grandson Cayne; her brothers, William Helstein and his wife Violet of Mont Vernon, NH, Richard Helstein and wife Tina of Jaffrey, and her niece Melissa Loria and husband Tony of Calgary, Alberta, Canada along with countless friends and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Donna Doucette on August 7, 2015.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours which will be held on Tuesday, September 26th 2017, at the Cournoyer Funeral Home at 33 River Street in Jaffrey from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. David Jadlocki, Pastor of the Rindge Congregational Church will officiate.
