Jaffrey, New HampshireBradley C. Brad Jackson, 45 of Jaffrey, died on Thursday February 17, 2011.
Brad was born in Hartford, CT on April 17, 1965, son of Peter and Margaret (Peard) Rivard. He was a 1983 graduate of St. Bernard High School in Fitchburg, MA.
Brad followed in his grandfather, Norman Red Peards footsteps after spending countless hours riding with and working alongside him doing excavation work. Brad founded Bradley C. Jackson Excavating Contractor and built many houses and housing developments in the Monadnock Region. Later, he owned and operated Jackson Energy in Keene.
Brad was very talented and an intuitive learner. He could figure out how anything worked and fix it with his own hands and hard work. He was also very clever and patient, and would painstakingly restore his many antiques to showroom condition. He was a well known collector of antique vehicles, gas pumps, and signs. Brad also found great joy through his sons racing endeavors and successes with go-karts and cars.
Brad cared deeply for his children and family. He was a very sensitive and caring man, who cherished all the friendships he had developed over the years.
In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his wife Sadie (Halliday) Jackson; his daughters Nicole, Lucy, and Sarah, all of Jaffrey; his son Timothy of Jaffrey; his sisters, Heidi P.
