Brian Keith Karlsen, 58, of Jaffrey, died on Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Auburn, from injuries he received in a Motorcycle accident.
Brian was born on August 9, 1963, in Sedalia, MO, son of the late Robert L. Karlsen and Carol L. (Korhonen) Gallegos. He attended schools in Portland, OR and moved to New Hampshire afterwards. He married Rebecca Ketola in 1987, and together they made their home in Jaffrey.
Brian was an accomplished painter. He owned and operated Parkrose Painting and enjoyed working throughout the Monadnock region and beyond.
Brian developed his love for motorcycles at a young age, riding with his Karlsen family. This brought many sad moments, as well, as Brian joins his dad and his cousin who also died at a young age doing what they loved – riding motorcycles.
Brian’s greatest joy was his salvation through Jesus Christ, his Savior. He was also very thankful and enriched by the large extended family he married into. Brian was genuinely concerned for people’s souls. He would often visit prisons and nursing homes, to talk with inmates about Jesus’ love for them and to set up services for the elderly.
Brian’s family is comforted knowing that he is now with his Lord and Savior. He was able to greet his son, Victor, who died in 2013, as well as his dad and the rest of his family who went on before him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Rebecca, and their children, Elisabeth ‘Ina’, Caroline, and Bobbie, all of Jaffrey, his mom, Carol, of Vancouver, WA, his two sisters, Sheila Hollibaugh and Gaylynn Olson, and a large and loving extended family.
