Carol A. Chamberlain, 65, of Jaffrey, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home after a 17 year battle with cancer.
She was born in San Diego, California on June 25, 1951, daughter of the late Leo and Pauline (Bussiere) Forcier. Carol was raised and educated in Jaffrey and always considered it her home. She was a 1970 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey and a longtime member of the John Humiston Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary. She loved camping, scrapbooking and being with her family most of all.
Carol began her working career at Elite Laundry in Jaffrey and then at Tricnit in New Ipswich before briefly working at Reed & Prince and Teleflex in Jaffrey. She started her own in-home daycare and even had the pleasure of caring for her own grandchildren. Carol returned to working outside her home at Millipore in Jaffrey and retired in 2012 after her health was preventing her from working further.
Carol met her cancer head on. She had a witty personality and kept her nurses and doctors on their toes. Carol was always positive and smiling through her difficult treatments. She never complained and remained an inspiration for all around her through the most challenging times.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Frederick “Rick” Forcier, Jr.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Earl R. Chamberlain, Jr. of Jaffrey; her 2 daughters, Teresa Jones of La Quinta, California and Daphne Chamberlain of Jaffrey; her 6 grandchildren, Ashley Harper, Casey Harper, Dayna Lopez, Kristie Jones, Sean Jones and Ryan Jones; her 2 great-grandchildren, Arianna and Adrian Martinez; her sister, Sandra Black of Jaffrey and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
