Carol J. Miller

Carol J. Miller, 82, of Jaffrey died Monday November 17, 2014 at the Pheasant Wood Health Center in Peterborough following a period of failing health.

She was born June 23, 1932 in Peterborough daughter of the late John and Dora (Bosley) Heinonen. Carol was a lifelong resident of Jaffrey and had attended Conant High School.

Carol worked part time at Forcier’s Grocery in Jaffrey while her children were in school.
Later she had worked at D.D. Bean & Son Co. the New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough and had retired from Teleflex in Jaffrey.

Carol was an active communicant of St. Patrick Parish in Jaffrey.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards. She loved going to the ocean and had traveled to North Carolina and Virginia with her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Heir and her husband Doug of Jaffrey; four sons; Glen Miller and his wife Estelle, Vernon Miller and wife Chong, Randy Miller, Raymond Miller and wife Lisa, all of Jaffrey; ten grandchildren; Anne Rockwell and Jessica Olson, both of New Ipswich, David Miller of Jaffrey, Brian Miller of Jacksonville FL, Renee Bessett of Jaffrey, Nicole Mattson of New Ipswich, Jason Chalke of Jaffrey, Jen Miller of Winchester, Ben Miller and Tim Miller, both of Jaffrey; 12 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 south) Jaffrey from 9:30 until 11:00AM, on Friday November 21, 2014.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home at 11:00AM.
Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, pastor of St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Patrick Cemetery.
