Christine Marjorie Patten, 46, of South Street in Stoddard died suddenly on March 27, 2010, at theCheshire Medical Center in Keene after a blood clot in her leg dislodged and traveled to her lungs and heart.

Chris enjoyed life, particularly her Harley Davidson Street Glide, camping, cooking, music, reading, artistic pursuits, classic cars, visiting her family and traveling.

She was known for her smile, her laughter and her kindness to others. She brought joy to all those who knew her.

Born in Peterborough on Jan. 2, 1964, she was the daughter of Roland and Marcia (Vose) Patten of Peterborough.

In 1982, she graduated from ConVal High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.

In 1986 she graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, magna cum laude.

For 10 years, she was a residential counselor for the Center of Life Management, Derry, working with displaced teenaged girls.

In 1996, she moved from Goffstown to Peterborough and went to work assisting her parents in their business, Rolands Auto Service, and also worked at the Rynborn Restaurant, Antrim.

In 2005, she worked part time for the town of Peterborough in the administrative office. For the past four years, she has worked in the office at Filtrine Mfg. Co., Keene.

In 2007, she moved from Jaffrey to Stoddard.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her life partner, Lance Williams of Stoddard; a brother, Michael Patten, and his wife, Stephanie, and their daughters, Elizabeth and Anna, all of Hooksett; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to the Antrim Girls Shelter, P.O. Box 531, Antrim 03440.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 1st, 2010from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, 33 River St., Jaffrey.

A celebration of Chriss life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 3, 2010 at Monadnock Country Club, 49 High Street, Peterborough. (map/driving directions)
