Christopher L. Ellis, 33, of North Street, in Jaffrey died on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born on December 8, 1977 in Peterborough, NH, son of William and Ruth (Houghton) Ellis. Chris grew up in Temple and was a 1996 graduate of ConVal High School in Peterborough. Following graduation Chris went on to pursue a career in construction and had been employed as a truck driver with Park Construction in Fitzwilliam until the company’s recent closure. His latest employer was Beechwood Excavation in Temple. Chris was an avid NASCAR fan and especially liked Dale Earnhardt, JR. He also enjoyed country music, traveling to Disney and Kauai, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his father William Ellis Sr. and his step-mother Patricia Ellis of Temple, NH; his daughter Elizabeth Rosemarie Ellis of Jaffrey, NH; his sisters Ashley E. Ellis and husband Guy Tino of New Boston, NH and Jennifer Lynn Ellis of Temple, NH; four brothers William Ellis, Jr. and wife Tammy of Wilton, NH, Carl Ellis and wife Amber of Merrimack, NH, Joseph Ellis and wife Debbie of Greenfield, NH and Patrick J. Ellis of Temple, NH; his maternal grandmother Florence Nevin of Wilton, NH; his fiancé and mother of his daughter, Ellen Farhm of Jaffrey, NH; several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, and many close friends. Chris was predeceased by his mother when he was two years old. Private burial at the convenience of the family will be at the Miller Cemetery in Temple. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s name to the Good Neighbor Fund, P.O. Box 486, Jaffrey NH 03452.
