Daniel L. Peard

Jaffrey, New Hampshire Daniel L. Peard, 34, of Jaffrey, left us on Saturday, January 5, 2013 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Dan was born on January 26, 1978 in Peterborough, NH, son of John M. and Lauren A. (Ouellette) Peard, Sr. He attended Conant High School and was a lifelong resident of Jaffrey. Dan brightened any room he walked into and was considered a great friend by many and easy to love. He was an excellent diesel mechanic and maintained the fleet of trucks at his family’s businesses, Red’s of Jaffrey and Monadnock Disposal Service. Dan was a family man and loved spending time with his entire family. The most important role in his life was the one he cherished most - being a dad to his two sons. He liked hiking and camping and would frequently take his sons on outdoor adventures. He loved all things motorized; whether it was a car, motorcycle, hot rod, truck, snowmobile, or plane, Dan could drive them all, and drive he did, whether it was on road or off in the woods or mud. He also travelled extensively around the country, on two wheels and more, and often shared many of these trips with his sons and family. In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by his two sons, Garrett and Evan Peard of Jaffrey, their mother, April Seneschal of Jaffrey; his two dogs, Mocha and Sandy; his three brothers, John Peard, Jr. and his girlfriend Emily Barthel of Jaffrey, Matthew Peard and his wife Charmaine of Rindge, and Nathan Peard and his wife Jen of Smithfield, Utah; his Nieces and Nephews; Brittany, Jacob, Aiden, Jessica, James, Ashley, Maicee, Presleigh, Sierra, Evah, Rosie, Alekzander, and Kendrick; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

The family requests that flowers be omitted. Instead, please remember Dan by making a contribution to a local children’s charity in his name, or to the Jaffrey Fire Department Benevolent Fund, c/o Chief David Chamberlain, 10 Goodnow Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Jaffrey Bible Church, 133 Turnpike Road, (Rte. 124) Jaffrey, NH 03452. Burial will take place in the spring.
