Daniel W. Hart

Greenfield, New Hampshire Daniel W. Hart, 43, died at his home in Greenfield on Saturday, December 18, 2010, after battling cancer with courage and dignity. He was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family when he died. Dan was born on June 29, 1967 in Kittery, Maine, the son of Lorraine Lori Twiss and Kenneth Monty Hart. He was a 1985 graduate of Mascenic High School in Greenville where he had enjoyed playing Baseball. Dan worked as a Master Layout Inspector and Programmer at Hitchner Manufacturing Company in Milford for over 22 years. He married Shelly Dix on October 16, 2005 and together they made their home in Greenfield where he loved transforming his yard into a paradise on his John Deere tractor. Dan enjoyed watching and cheering for all of the New England Sports Teams, but his favorites were the Red Sox and Bruins. In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by his wife of 5 years, Shelly (Dix) Hart of Greenfield, NH; his daughters Bethany Ann of New Ipswich, NH and Megan Leigh of Greenfield, NH; his 2 step-daughters, Shantelle of Bellville, Ill. and Anna of Bennington, NH; 3 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild; his brother Kenneth Hart, Jr. and his wife Debbie along with his only nephew Joseph Hart, all of Langdon, NH, his step-mother Barbara, wife of Ken Sr., and many cousins and close friends.
