David A. Reilly, 71, of Peterborough died unexpectedly at Concord Hospital on Friday December 7, 2012. He was born April 22, 1941 in Boston, MA son of the late John and Kathryn (Shea) Reilly. Mr. Reilly was a 1958 graduate of Lowell (MA) High School and received his Bachelors degree from Providence College in 1963. He served in the United States Air Force for three years. Mr. Reilly has been a resident of Peterborough, a town he was so proud of, since 1991 and had previously lived in Meredith, Nashua NH, and Chelmsford, MA. David moved to Peterborough to work for Peterborough Savings Bank. He served as an officer in many of the banks he worked in: State Street Bank, First NH Bank, he retired from TD Bank as Vice President of Commercial Lending in June 2010 with over 45 years in the banking industry throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. David believed in serving his community. In the Monadnock Region he invested much of his community service as a Rotarian (for more than forty years) - most recently the Monadnock Rotary Club. In addition, he was on the Board of Trustees for Monadnock Community Hospital, the Board of the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, founding member of ConVal Community Scholarship Foundation, the Board of the Peterborough Historical Society, Director at HorsePower Therapeutic Riding Center, member of the Finance Committee for the Capitol Region Health Care of NH, member of the Peterborough Long Range Planning Commission, the Building Committee for the Divine Mercy Parish among others. He is survived by his loving wife and four children: Janet (Gervais) Reilly wife of forty seven years of Peterborough; David, Jr and wife Erin of Warwick RI, Jeffrey and wife Amy of Warwick RI, Elizabeth (Betsy) Hansen and husband Shad of Milford NH, Kathleen (Kate) Chrusciel and husband Michael of Meredith NH; Brothers Dr. Phillip Reilly of Osterville MA and Thomas Reilly of Wayland MA; Sister Carol Reilly of Chelmsford MA, Sister-in-law, Elaine Reilly of Lowell MA, Step brother Frank Mcguire of Phoenix AZ; Grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Sarah, Emma, Reilly, Kate, Shea, Brenna and Connor and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepmother Helen Reilly, his brother John Reilly, and his grandson John “Jack” Chrusciel. The burial at Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of David A Reilly to: the Divine Mercy Parish, 18 Vine Street, Peterborough, NH 03458; Peterborough Fire and Rescue Association PO Box 244, Peterborough, NH 03458; or Monadnock Community Hospital 452 Old Street Road Peterborough, NH 03458. Family and friends will are invited to calling hours at Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Rt. 202 south) Jaffrey, NH on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick Church , 89 Main Street in Jaffrey. Rev.
