David Baron

David Baron, 81, a long time Jaffrey resident, died peacefully on November 2, 2015 at the Apple Valley Nursing Home in Ayer, MA.

David was born on April 19, 1934 in Lowell, MA, son of the late Edward and Ethel (Clough) Baron. He graduated from Chelmsford High School in the class of 1952. Following graduation, David enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1953 and after his faithful service to our Country he was honorably discharged.

David lived for many years in Westford, Mass and later retired to Jaffrey, NH. David worked for 40 years at Raytheon as the test equipment maintenance calibration manager and after retirement he worked for the Town of Jaffrey as their building inspector.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, snow shoeing and spending time with his family, especially time spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his loving wife, Ann in 1998 and his brother John in 2001.

David’s survivors include his sons and daughters-in-laws; Daniel and Leslie Baron of Chelmsford, MA, Christian and Lori Baron on New Ipswich, NH and Thomas Baron of Lowell, MA; Six Grandchildren; Jennifer, Andrew, David, Edward, William and Elizabeth Baron; his brother, Bruce Baron of Grants Pass, OR and his sister, Christine Baron of Chelmsford, MA, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) Jaffrey, NH.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor of Saint Patrick Church officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in David’s name to the Monadnock Humane Society, Swanzey, NH.
