David W. Mughmaw

David W. Mughmaw, 68, of Mason, NH, died unexpectedly with his family by his side after a sudden illness on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua.

He was born on August 7, 1947 in Peru, Indiana, son of the late Gale and Wilmadean (Tibbetts) Mughmaw. He attended schools in Indiana and honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1966 to 1969.

David opened the D.W. Mughmaw Insurance Agency in 1982, operating first in his home and later in Rindge where it is still in business today. David’s family will continue to operate his agency as he has done for these many years, with integrity and pride, and helping it to flourish as if David were there himself!

David was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather. He loved to play golf he would do absolutely anything to be playing the game. He was a wonderful basketball coach to many kids in town including his daughter and son, and helped bring in many championships through the years. He loved the Indiana Hoosiers. David and Crystal have been married for 47 years, having their first child Jason in 1969 and their second child Tiffany in 1973.

David died with his two oldest grandchildren holding his hands, his family was there telling great stories. He left hearing everyone laugh. David is leaving behind his wife, Crystal Mughmaw; his son, Jason Mughmaw, and wife Shirley (Doucette) and their son Cameron Mughmaw; his daughter, Tiffany and her husband Kevin Luczko, their three children, Samantha Luczko, Hunter Luczko and KC Luczko; David’s brother Richard Mughmaw and his wife Barb Mughmaw and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David, Dad, Grampa, you will be very missed. We love you very much and we will always cherish the time and memories we have had with you. We love you with all our heart, Rest in peace and fly high Marine.

Family and friends will honor and remember David’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202) in Jaffrey on Wednesday May 4th, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00PM.
