Donald E. Hoffman

Donald E. Hoffman, 81, of Jaffrey, NH and formerly of Fitchburg, MA, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center in Jaffrey after a period of failing health.

Donald was born on April 14, 1933 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of the late Otto and Dorothy (Jansen) Hoffman. After receiving his education in Iowa, Donald enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country honorably until 1957.

Donald then worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the Fitchburg, MA Post Office and retired after 33 years of faithful service.

In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by 2 of his brothers and his sister.

Donald will be missed by his wife of 28 years, Diane (Fish) Hoffman of Jaffrey, his 3 children and their families; his 2 stepsons and their families; his brother and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Memorial Service with full Military Honors on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street in Winchendon, MA
