Donald W. Cramb, Sr., 87, died unexpectedly at his home in Rindge on Saturday, December 19, 2020, just 2 days before his 88th birthday.
Mr. Cramb was born on December 21, 1932 in Melrose, MA, son of the late Franklin and Dora (Peacock) Cramb, Sr. He grew up in the Revere area and attended local schools.
Donald had worked for more than 40 years at Murray Printing Company in Forge Village, MA, retiring in 1999.
Donald had a great sense of civic duty, and was a longtime member of the Rindge Fire Department. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a certified Hunter Safety Instructor for the State of New Hampshire and was an active member of the Fitzwilliam Sportsman’s Club. If Donald had a passion, it was woodworking. He was an excellent craftsman and some of his work is still being used at the Rindge Congregational Church.
In addition to his parents, Donald was also predeceased by his first wife, Judith (Raymond) Tieger, and by his second wife, Ruth (Rathburn) Cramb, his grandson, Trevor Cramb, as well as by his siblings, Dora Dunton, Franklin Cramb, Sr. and Florence Olsen.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie Pillsbury and Sandra Rathburn, both of Jaffrey, NH; his sons, Donald Cramb, Jr. of Peterborough, NH, Christopher Cramb of Jaffrey, NH, and Timothy Cramb of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 21 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren; his sisters, Phyllis Sesia of Rindge, NH, Joan Aubrey, and Christine Panniello, both of Massachusetts, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
At Donald’s request there will be no calling hours or services at this time.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring in Hillside Cemetery in Rindge and will be announced.
