Donna Maureen Keurulainen

Donna M. Keurulainen, 80, of New Ipswich, NH, passed away peacefully at Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough, NH, on Monday, January 6, 2025 after a long period of failing health.

Born on May 24, 1944, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Donald S. and Lillian E. (Guenther) Casey. Donna graduated with High Honors from Fitchburg High School in 1962. Eventually she enjoyed a career as a payroll clerk for TricNit in New Ipswich.

While in New Ipswich, Donna met David G. Keurulainen and they were married on June 1, 1973. They enjoyed 51 beautiful years of marriage.

Donna had many interests and hobbies throughout her life. She was an avid gymnast in her younger days, and she also enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, interior design as well as dancing. Donna loved collecting CD’s and making crafts, and one of her favorite things to do was to go for rides with her husband on their motorcycle.

In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her daughter Laurie Ann Meyer.

Donna is survived by her husband, David Keurulainen, her son David A. (Christina) Keurulainen of New Ipswich, NH; her daughters, Linda S. Gerard (Gregory Peaslee) of Sumner, ME, and Lisa M. (Simona) Sergi of Winchendon, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jason H. Dane of Mont Vernon, NH, and Sophia and Savannah Keurulainen, both of New Ipswich, as well as her brother, Dennis (Susan) Casey of Concord, NH, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Donna’s life on Thursday, January 16, 2025 beginning at 1:00PM, with a memorial service at 2:00PM and continued sharing afterwards, at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (US Rte. 202), Jaffrey, NH 03452.

Her burial will take place in the spring at Smithville Cemetery in New Ipswich, NH.
