Jaffrey, New Hampshire Dorothy H. Waeger, 82, of Forest Park Estates in Jaffrey, died peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene with her family by her side. She was born in Framingham, MA on March 26, 1929 daughter of the late Thomas B. and Cora (Garceau) Powell. She was a 1947 graduate of Framingham (MA) High School and had been a resident of Framingham until moving to Jaffrey in 1974. Mrs. Waeger retired from Teleflex Medical in 1991 following twenty years of employment. She enjoyed playing Bingo and card games, her flower gardens, sewing and baking for family and friends. When she was younger she loved to go camping in Maine. She had traveled with her family to Las Vegas, Atlantic City NJ, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun where she enjoyed playing the penny slots. She had always wanted to go on a cruise and her family finally arranged for her to go in October of 2010. Most cherished to her was the time spent with her family. She was known as “Boo-Boo” to her great grandchildren. She was married to Robert T. McLeod who died November 30, 1989 and also to Elmer J. Waeger who died September 9, 2004. Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Moschan and her husband Jerry of Harrisville; her son David McLeod of Dublin; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers Stephen Powell of Beaufort, SC and William Powell of Ashland MA.; two sisters Evelyn Lill of Framingham and Eleanor Frost of Holliston MA; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Melissa Moschan on January 21, 2006.
