Edward J. Connolly, 83, formerly of Jaffrey, NH died June 25, 2009 at the Pheasantwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Peterborough after a period of failing health.
He was born in South Boston, MA on June 20, 1927.
He faithfully served his country, first in the US Army, and then in the US Navy working in and maintaining several submarines. After receiving an honorable discharge, Mr. Connolly worked as an electrician first in Boston at Bethlehem Steel, and then for Kingsbury Tool in Keene for more than 30 years after moving to Jaffrey in 1969.
Mr. Connolly had a variety of interests in antiques and was a collector of windmills and wind chimes. He could often be found at yard sales and flea markets both locally and wherever he travelled.
Mr. Connolly was preceded in death by his wife Veronica (Booth) Connolly on July 11, 1997. His brother James and his sisters, June and Gladys, also died earlier.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Colleen Cloutier and Tanis Whitcomb, both of Rindge, NH; and his sister-in-law, Helen Champney, also of Rindge.

At Mr. Connollys request, there will be no calling hours.
All services will be private and at the convenience of Mr. Connolly's family.
