Edwin I. Reini, 85, of Rindge, NH, died on Monday, December 22, 2014, at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center after a period of failing health.
Mr. Reini was born October 9, 1929 in Bessemer Township, MI, son of the late Waldemar and Katherine (Alavarvi) Reini. He was a graduate of Luther L. Wright High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Gogebic Community College, also in Michigan.
Edwin lived in Ironwood for 42 years, working as a bookkeeper and a mail carrier. He and his wife moved to Rindge, NH in 1972 and he began working for Seppala & Aho Construction Co. Inc. as well as at Hutter Construction before retiring in 1993. Edwin loved gardening, fishing on Lake Superior, the outdoors, camping, traveling, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Edwin was a lifetime member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church and a school board member for many years in Ironwood, MI.
In addition to his parents Edwin is predeceased by 6 brothers; Toivo, Tauno, John, Eugene, Reuben, Eino; 5 sisters, Elma, Marian, Ruth, Helen, Martha; an infant son Brent; an infant granddaughter Sonya; and a grandson Jaret.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Vienna (Impola) Reini of Rindge, NH; his 4 daughters, Sandra and Tim Lampinen of Rindge, NH, Marla and Raymond Seppala of Landrum, SC, Linda and Mark Aho of New Ipswich, NH, Paula and Mark Damon of Rindge, NH; his 5 sons, Bruce and Anita Reini of Rindge, NH, Barry and Connie Reini of Greer, SC, Brian and Tana Reini of Traveler’s Rest, SC, Brad Reini of Taylors, SC, Benjamin and Norma Reini of Taylors, SC; 60 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; a brother Roy and Marion Reini of Muskego, WI, and a sister Mayme Usitalo of Bessemer, MI, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, December 29, 2014, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at the Apostolic Lutheran Church, 117 Goen Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071
The funeral service for Edwin will begin at 1:00pm, immediately following calling hours at the Apostolic Lutheran Church. All are invited to attend.
Spring burial will take place at the family’s convenience at Hillside Cemetery in Rindge.
