Elbridge Magnus (Ebbie) Oberg, 89, of Greer, South Carolina, died August 6, 2012 at his home. A native of Stockholm, ME., son of the late Simon and Amanda Axen Oberg, he was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran with a Purple Heart earned in Italy with the 45th Infantry Division. Mr. Oberg was a former employee of Hayward Westfield Furniture MFG and a retired employee of Seppala-Aho Construction as a mason. Surviving is his wife, Alvina Seppala Oberg; three sons, Kenneth Oberg of Seabeck, WA, Ronald Oberg of Gardner, MA and Donald Oberg (Janice) of Gardner, MA; five daughters, Sylvia Setevdemio (Ronald) of Ashburnham, MA, Christine Perla and fiancé David Graciano of Exeter, RI, Judith Couture (Roland) of Gardner, MA, Carolyn Fontaine (Thomas) of Phillipston, MA and Deborah Guyer (Steven) of Lunenburg, MA; one sister, Doris Barbuschak of Huntington, CT; a step-daughter, Edith Pyhala (Art) of Lyman, SC; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA at 4:00 PM Sunday.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Apostolic Lutheran Church, 117 Goen Road, New Ipswich.
