Eric S. Gardner, Sr.

Eric S. Gardner, Sr., 38, of New Ipswich, died very unexpectedly on Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Eric was born in Concord, NH on June 16, 1975, the son of Richard R. Gardner, Sr. and Linda ‘Lynn’ (Moody) Lavallee. He was raised in New Ipswich and attended local schools.

Over the past several years, Eric had been working with decorative concrete design at Jet Concrete in New Ipswich. Previously, he had been a self-employed contractor.

Eric was a devoted and loving father. He enjoyed fishing and camping up north and riding four-wheelers. He will be greatly missed for his great sense of humor and for always being the life of the party. He loved singing karaoke and his favorite musician was Johnny Cash. Eric’s most recent joy was his new granddaughter Baylie.

Eric is survived by his father, Richard Gardner, Sr. of Northwood, NH; his mother, Lynn and her husband Charles R. Lavallee of New Ipswich; his Fiancée, Wendy Pillsbury and her daughter Alyssa Eaton of New Ipswich; his daughter Sarah Gardner of Jaffrey; his son Eric S. Gardner, II of Jaffrey; his granddaughter Baylie Gardner of Jaffrey; his six brothers, Richard Gardner, Jr. of Northwood, NH, Westly Gardner of Greenville, James Gardner of New Ipswich, Brian Gardner of Northwood, Robert Lavallee of Manchester and Brian Johnson of New Ipswich; his three sisters, Brenda Comeau of Fitchburg, MA, Tina Lavallee of Daytona Beach, FL, and Tiffany Haavisto of New Ipswich, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his brother Michael Lavallee in 2001

There will be no calling hours.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eric’s life with stories and sharing on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at ‘The Barn’ at 39 Ashlawn Farm Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071.

In lieu of flowers, Eric’s family would prefer memorial donations be made in his name to the Good Neighbor Fund, P.O. Box 486, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
