Erika L. Fiske

Peru, New York Erika L. Fiske, 47, of Main Street, Peru, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY.

She was born in Nashua, NH on May 23, 1961, the daughter of Hans and Roberta (Mutti) Kaufhold of Peterborough, NH. Erika graduated from ConVal High School in 1979.
She and her husband and family moved to Peru in 1990. She was a sales representative and later a regional manager for Avon for many years. Most recently she owned and operated the Village Liquor Shoppe in Keeseville.
Erika was a devoted and loving mother and wife. She enjoyed camping and taking trips with her family. She will be greatly missed for her quick and beautiful smile and her ever and open, loving and generous heart. Erika and her husband Bob were dedicated blood donors.
In addition to her parents, Erika lives on through her husband of 27 years, Robert Fiske, whom she married June 20, 1981, and her four children, Josh, Eric, Elizabeth and Jenny.
She is also survived by her brothers, John Kaufhold of Peterborough, NH; Peter Kaufhold and wife Betsey, of Jaffrey, NH; and Tom Kaufhold of Portsmouth, NH; her sisters, Heidi Kaufhold of Harrisville, NH; and Valli Hannings and husband Rob of Greenfield, NH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, Erikas family request folks to donate blood and/or take your family on a camping trip in her memory.

Spring burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) Jaffrey, NH.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Congregational Church of Temple, UCC, Route 45, Temple, NH. Rev. David E. Congdon, Pastor, will officiate.
