Esther M. Henderson

Esther Marion Henderson, 96, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away on the morning of January 7, 2012 after a period of failing health. She was born December 03, 1915 in Upper Grandville, NS, Canada, to George and Ethel Salter. Esther was a 1934 graduate of Bridgetown High School in Nova Scotia. She moved to Massachusetts when she married Warren Emery Henderson Sr., on October 7, 1935. Esther had lived in Jaffrey since 2004, after moving here from Rindge. Previously she had lived in the Westford, Massachusetts area and was a member of the All Saints Church in Westford. She enjoyed reading and was a wonderful cook. Esther liked to knit, play computer games and watch hockey, but more than anything else, she cherished visiting with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Warren, her parents, her sister, Ann Kenty and a great grandson, Noah Cohen of Tucson, AZ. Esther is survived by two daughters and three sons, Shirley Kangas, wife of Ronald, of Chatham, MA, Paul D. Henderson of Reno, NV, Warren E. Henderson Jr., husband of Patrice, of Dunbarton, NH ,William G. Henderson of Sun City, CA and Susan Carol Henderson of Jaffrey, NH as well as fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on June 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.
