Ethel M. Nef, 79, resident of Rindge, NH formerly of Belford, NJ died at her home on Saturday May 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

She was born on April 18, 1938 in St. Paul Alberta, Canada a daughter of the late Philippe and Ethel (Oullette) Comeau.

Ethel worked for most of her life as Registered Nurse and retired from Riverview Hospital in Red Bank, NJ.

She had many interests in her life, she was an active member of St. Marys Catholic Church for over 40 years, a Eucharistic Minister and was a Third Order Carmelite and she enjoyed cooking and reading.

Ethel moved to New Hampshire four years ago to help raise and care for her two granddaughters, Madison and Ashleigh Nef after their mom, Sharon, died suddenly.
In addition to her parents Ethel is predeceased by her loving husband, Wayne, who passed away in 2012 and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Nef in 2013.

Survivors include her children, Son, Wayne Nef of Rindge, NH and her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Richard Armistead of Marlboro, NJ. Two granddaughters, Madison and Ashleigh Nef both of Rindge, NH, her four sisters, Rita Chagnon, Julie Belanger, Cathy Comeau and Laurette Sabourinn all of Canada and many niece’s nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: There will be no formal services held here in NH. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Mary’s Chapel, 26 Leonardville Road, Middletown, NJ, at 10:30 AM all are invited to attend. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
