Faith A. Allen, 50 of Old Greenfield Road in Bennington died peacefully at her home on Wednesday February 28, 2007.
She was born July 5, 1956 in Westfield MA, daughter of the late Robert S. and Elli (Liimatainen) Allen, formerly of Richmond and Troy, NH.
She has been a resident of Bennington for the past fifteen years and had previously lived in Antrim after residing in Laconia for many years.
Though increasingly limited in recent years due to illness, Faith was acknowledged locally for her years of volunteering at the Meals-on-Wheels program in Hillsborough. Her captivating smile and sly sense of humor were well known to her many friends throughout the Monadnock region. In 1997 Faith had traveled to Ireland on a B&B trip.
Faith had a deep love for close family and was a loyal friend who enjoyed helping others.
Faith is survived by four sisters Kathleen R. Allen of Peterborough, Christine Allen of Mattapan, Mass, Kristine Dages, formerly of Goshen, Mass and Susan Folsom of Rochester; five brothers Loren Allen of York PA., Michael R. Allen Sr. of Jonesboro AR, Lee Allen of Auburn, Maine, Christopher Chickering of Nashua and Joseph Hasty of New Oxford, PA, many nieces to include Kaija Allen of Peterborough; several nephews; an aunt Alice Oja of Tunbridge VT; two uncles Oiva Liimatainen of Richmond and Lauri Liimatainen of Truth or Consequences NM; many cousins.
Her longtime friends and caregivers, Emilee, Dillon, Robin and Edward Hyland of Bennington with whom she lived also survive her.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Adams in 1998 and Amos Leimo Allen in 1945.
There will be no calling hours.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
