Francis Aho Jr.

Francis E. Aho, Jr., 74, of New Ipswich passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 30, 2023, after a year-long illness. Fran or “Buddy” leaves behind his wife Linda, his daughter Cherie and her family including Jim and their children Kris, Derrick, Josh & Caitlin, and his son Scott and his family including his wife, Danielle and children Sierra & Evan.  His daughter, Dianna passed away before him, in January leaving her daughter, Sophia who is now with Cherie and her family.

Buddy was loved by many including his sisters: Peggy, Patty, Debbie and Laura and their families.  His brother Billy and his parents Francis and Dorothy (Derry) Aho passed away before him. He had many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved getting together with over a good BBQ!

His passions included his hunting club in NY with his friends Jim and Roger and he loved shooting the bull with his GE buddies including Frank, Dave, Jason and more over a good poker game or at the casino!

Fran worked hard all his life, graduating school at Boulder High, to working at Digital, Guilfoil’s garage, his uncle Rod’s Gulf station, and of course most of his career was built at General Electric starting as a janitor and working his way up the ladder to Crane operator, Turbine engine consultant and so many more jobs we can’t even name them all!

Those that know Fran know he didn’t want to have a formal ceremony when he passed, so to honor his wishes we will join his celebration of life with his Dee’s on August 20^th from 11:00AM – 3:00PM at the Greenville Pavilion and have a big old BBQ!

Many thanks to the staff at Jaffrey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for all the care they gave Fran over the past year! And thanks to HCS Hospice for taking care of his wishes for a peaceful passing at the end. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to JNRC for patient’s funds or to HCS Hospice in his name.
