Send With Love
Franklin R. Pecor, 83, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023 at the Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, where he and his wife were being cared for.
‘Bud’ was born on February 19, 1940, in West Rutland, VT, a son of the late Henry and Edith (Dow) Pecor. He grew up in Sanford, ME and graduated with the Class of 1959 from Sanford High School.
After high school, Frank met Roselyn Letourneau. They married on June 16, 1962, in Sanford. Shortly after his wedding, he enlisted in the United States Army. He earned a Good Conduct Medal during his service to our country before earning an honorable discharge in 1969.
Frank had worked for Georgia-Pacific for many years before being becoming a school bus driver in Jaffrey for many years. He will always be remembered fondly by many of Conant High School’s Championship Basketball Teams. Bud finally retired in 2005, but he and Rose kept following their favorite team.
Bud and Rose often enjoyed the simplicity of sightseeing as they traveled around the Nation in their RV. They had made countless friends and had visited all but 2 states in their years of camping – but had hopes of getting there before their health challenges prevented it. He also could be found enjoying the scenery wherever he would fish or hunt. Bud enjoyed watching auto racing and had been a long-time member of the Good Sam RV club.
In addition to his parents, Bud was also predeceased by his three brothers-in-law.
Bud is survived by his beloved wife of more than 63 years, Roselyn Pecor of Jaffrey, NH, his 2 nieces, Tammy Beaupre of Waterboro, ME, and Beverly Dart of Sanford, ME, and by a nephew, Donald Letourneau of Enid, OK and their families.
Because of the colder weather settling in, services will be held in the Spring, and will be announced as they are scheduled. Burial will be at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Bud’s name to your local VFW Post, or to The Salvation Army.
Service will be held at a future date
