Gail P. Healy, 65, of Marlborough, New Hampshire died on June 2, 2013 following a long struggle with debilitating ailments and declining health. She was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on June 10, 1947 daughter of Domnick and Rachel (Girouard) Arceci. Gail spent her childhood growing up in Jaffrey, and graduated from Conant High School in 1965. She continued her education, graduating from Nursing School and becoming an LPN. On what can only be described as a destined encounter, Gail met her future husband, Michael Healy from Montreal, Canada, while vacationing in Florida with her grandmother after losing her much beloved grandfather. Gail and Michael were married on September 28, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Church in Jaffrey and then relocated to Montreal. In 1972, missing the close connection with family and friends she cherished all her life, Gail returned to Jaffrey to remain in the Monadnock Region. This devotion to family led her to leave nursing in 1976 in search of a more structured schedule. In 1978 she took a job at NH Ball Bearings and worked there until her retirement in 2008. Though a different field from nursing, she valued the camaraderie of the group she worked with and fondly reminisced of her time there. She was a devoted mother to her two children and enjoyed the many family gatherings she orchestrated. Gail is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael Healy of Marlborough, NH; her father Domnick Arceci and his wife Joyce, of Brattleboro, VT; her siblings, Robin Horn and her partner Ricky Jaubert of Broken Arrow, OK; her brother Gary Arceci and his wife Vicki, of Jaffrey, NH and Chris Frost and his wife Andrea of Brattleboro, VT; her two children, Matthew Healy of Lowell, MA and Michelle Hautanen and her husband Brent, of Peterborough, along with grandchildren Alex, Ana, Natalia, Chelsea, and Sophia and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family. Though predeceased by her mother Rachel in 1993, her “Mothers Number 2 3” Lorraine (Toot) and Charlotte Parent provided much love and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Gail’s name to Susan G. Komen, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309
