Geneva M. Bliss died February 4, 2014 at her home in Jaffrey Center, NH.
Mrs. Bliss was born in Island Falls Maine, May 25, 1928, daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Gould) White. She graduated from Maine Central Institute in 1946. She married John G. Bliss in 1946 and together they traveled for many years in the service of the Army and Government before retiring in Jaffrey Center.
Mrs. Bliss worked as stenographer for the US Army in Japan and a Personnel Administrator for Page and BDM Corp. in Vienna Va. She studied Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging while in Japan and continued with it during her retirement years. She was an avid cook and seamstress and an active member of the Needham Mass. Garden Club, Needham Congregational Church, Peterborough Garden Club, Village Improvement Society, Thorndike Lake Club and the First Church in Jaffrey Center.
Mrs. Bliss is predeceased by her husband John in October 2010 and her brother’s Guy and Leonard White.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy and son David of Jaffrey; son John of Boston; grandson Daniel of Boston; granddaughter Morgan of Amherst N.H.; her sister Lillian Frazier of Kennesaw Ga.; her brothers Fred White of Montville N.J.; Raymond White of Mendam, N.J., and two nephews and nine nieces.

There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 11:00am in the First Church of Jaffrey Center, 14 Laban Ainsworth Way, Jaffrey.
Burial will be in the spring at the family lot in Phillips-Heil Cemetery, Jaffrey.
