Gerald B. Rodier, Sr., 65 of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, passed away on July 5, 2013.
He was born on February 21, 1948 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, son of the late Omar and Lorraine (Howard) Rodier.
Gerry served in the United States Army and our country honorably in Vietnam. He earned many medals for his service during his time in the Army. For many years he worked as a Diesel mechanic, as well as a police officer for the town of Greenville.
In his free time, Papa loved spending time with family and especially loved his grandchildren. He was a Master Mason with the Bethel-Souhegan Masonic Lodge #24 in New Ipswich. He was a proud member of the NRA and enjoyed restoring antique guns. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed many outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and traveling in his younger years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce (Hadley) Rodier in December of 2004.
Papa will be missed by his loving children, his sister, many grandchildren and friends, especially his beloved ‘hot dog’, Olive.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202) Jaffrey, NH 03452. Masonic services and Military Honors will follow in the Chapel.
