Gerald R. White

Gerald Robert White, 75, of Rindge died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in the comfort of his home after a two-year battle with cancer.

Born in Brunswick, ME, on March 5, 1942, to James Edward and Theresa Marie (Guerette) White. He graduated from the Brunswick High School in 1960 and shortly thereafter moved to Madison CT.

Mr. White was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1966, shortly after moved to Rindge, where he has resided ever since. He married Lydia Sharon Gagnon at All Saint’s Parish in Somersville, CT, on September 23, 1967.

After moving to Rindge, Mr. White worked for years as a local mason. He was an amateur artist as well, often painting pieces for his family. He enjoyed his flower gardens and rising early to watch the sunrise and the hummingbirds feed. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He loved going to auctions and yard sales, always looking for his next treasure. Most of all he loved his family; his wife, kids, and grandchildren meant everything to him.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia White, their children; Jeffrey and his wife Jennifer, Valerie and her husband Eric, and Edward as well as two granddaughters and a great grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 am, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Jaffrey. There will be no public calling hours. Burial will happen in the spring in the family lot, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Jaffrey.
