Germaine Robinson, 98, of Jaffrey, NH died peacefully on December 9, 2020 at her home after a brief period of failing health.
She was born in Martinville, P.Q. Canada on March 11, 1922, daughter of the late Clement and Cedulie (Demers) Roy. She was a 1940 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey.
Germaine married Albert Robinson on January 15, 1949 in St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey, where she was a communicant of her entire life. She had been a cashier at Roy’s market in Peterborough, as well as having worked at D.D. Beans in Jaffrey and the American Guernsey Cattle Club in Peterborough.
Germaine loved spending time with her family, and in her free time, she enjoyed quilting, reading, golfing and oil painting.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Albert, and by all of her siblings.
She is survived by her beloved children; her daughter, Mary Pelletier, of Jaffrey, with whom she lived; and by her sons, Peter of Peterborough, and Paul and John, both of Jaffrey, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Out of an abundance of caution for family and friends, all services will be determined at a later time.
Mrs. Robinson’s family wishes to acknowledge and thank Nancy, Lisa, Penny, MaryBeth and Nina, for their heartfelt care, assistance and compassion they all provided during her last days.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Germaine’s name to any of your local food pantries.
