Gladys E. Myers

GLADYS E. MYERS, 84, of Hillcrest Road in Jaffrey, died on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough after a period of failing health.
 
She was born in Wilmington, Massachusetts on November 13, 1923, daughter of the late Hans and Margaret (Anderson) Hansen.  She had attended local schools.
 
Mrs. Myers has lived in Jaffrey for the past 8 years after previously living in North Carolina for 14 years and Florida for 12 years prior to that.  She had also lived in New Hampshire and Massachusetts much earlier.
 
Mrs. Myers was devoted to her family and will be fondly remembered for her beautiful flower gardens.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry James Myers, whom she married on January 1, 1940.  He died on April 1, 1991.
 
Mrs. Myers is survived by her daughters Patricia F. Card of New Ipswich and Ellen D. Wright of Jaffrey; her sons, Michael W. Myers of Lake Mills, Wisconsin and Robert J. Myers of Blackhawk, South Dakota; 20 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, 15 Great-Great-Grandchildren, a sister, Clara Enos of Arlington, MA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

There will be no calling hours.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Memorial Service which will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the Christian Outreach Church at 199 North Street in Rindge, New Hampshire.
