Gladys Mae Harris, 60, of North Street, Jaffrey died Tuesday September 30, 2008 peacefully at her home following a period of failing health.
She was born February 26, 1948 in Haverhill, MA daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Eaton) Harris.
Gladys has been a resident of Jaffrey for the past six years and had previously lived in Ossipee and Keene.
She was a former employee of Reed Prince; D.D. Bean Sons, Timoleans Restaurant in Keene and had also driven school bus for the Jaffrey-Rindge School District.
She enjoyed doing ceramics, knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Monadnock Bible Baptist Church in Rindge.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah L. Bennett of Dublin; her son Bruce P. Marion of Keene; three grandchildren Andrew and Darryl Bennett and Nathan Marion; three sisters Mary Jane Buckley of Bradford MA, Donna Swiderski of Salem, MA and Carol Donald of Fernley, Nevada; also special friends Fred Bennett of Jaffrey as well as Ed and Elaine Marion of New Ipswich.
In addition to her parents, her two brothers Donald Harris, Jr and Alfred Harris predeceased her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance Fund, Post Office Box 107, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
As per her request, there will be no calling hours.
A memorial Service will be held Saturday October 4, 2008 at 2:00PM in the Monadnock Bible Baptist Church, South Woodbound Road, Rindge. Pastor Thomas Peragallo will officiate.
