Henry G. Emery

Henry G. Emery, 89, lifelong resident of Peterborough, NH died unexpectedly on December 28, 2017 at the UMASS Medical Center, Worcester, MA after a fall.

He was born on November 12, 1928 in Peterborough, NH a son of the late George and Antoinette (Patnaude) Emery.

Henry was raised and educated in the Peterborough School System and would go on to enlist in the United States Airforce at the age of 17. He faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sargent.

He worked for many years as an appliance repairman, working for most of his career with the Derby Company and then later for many years as his own boss.

Henry enjoyed time spent at the local veteran’s day observances and parades and was a very patriotic man. He loved to travel and also enjoyed time spent out in the wilderness camping with friends and family

In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by his sisters; Irene Pajenen and Rita Allen.

Survivors include his loving wife, Alice of Peterborough, NH, a Sister, Doris Clough of Bennington, NH, his sons; Doug Emery of Balwin, MO, Robin Emery of Florida and his daughter, Barbara Ball of New Ipswich, NH, his grandchildren; Michael Christian of Keene, NH, Melissa Fernald of Jaffrey, NH, Kimberly Mulhall of Dublin, NH and Carrie Emery of St. Charles, MO, one great grandchild, Anna Fernald of Jaffrey and many niece’s nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: In accordance with Henry's wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service with full military honors will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the St. Peters Cemetery, Peterborough, NH.
