Hope I. Dillon

Hope I. Dillon, 76, of Kevin Lane in Jaffrey died Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Dillon was born in Providence, RI on January 12, 1931, daughter of the late Nelson J. and Alice (Knowlton) Green. She had attended schools in Waltham, MA and had been a resident of Jaffrey for the past 20 years after previously living in Townsend, MA.

She had retired from New England Business Services in 1993 after having worked at both the Townsend, MA and the Peterborough, NH facilities as a Supervisor for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Dillon was an avid dog lover and also enjoyed reading and movies.

She was pre-deceased by her husband John F. Dillon, Jr. on May 28, 1988.

Mrs. Dillon is survived by her daughter Phyllis and her husband Keith White of Washington, VT; her sister-in-law Mary Bouchard of Colchester, VT; her brother-in-law Robert Dillon of Isle de Mont; and her close friend and caregiver for many years, John Coey of Jaffrey.

At Mrs. Dillon'™s request, there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be take place in the spring where she will be beside her husband at Fort Devens Military Cemetery in Ayer, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101
