Jake Robert Germano, 23, of Rindge, NH died on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on March 8, 1994 in Winchester, MA, the son of John R. Germano, Jr. and Kristina (Dostaler) Germano. He was a big brother to Ben and Lily Germano.
Jake was a 2012 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey and 2016 graduate of Mount Wachusett Community College. He worked for WBZ Radio in Boston as a sound producer.
From a young age, Jake explored his world. He was an avid reader, a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. He enjoyed swimming in the ocean, fishing and camping. He learned to play drums and guitar and he loved to dance. Jake found his happy place at camp when he was just 10 years old and learned to open his mind and heart to everyone he encountered. As a sophomore in high school he attended the National Youth Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. He finished his high school career playing football with the Granite State Panthers.
Words could not describe his spirit. He lived a life full of love and laughter, strength and gentleness. Anyone who was blessed enough to call him friend or family knew that they had someone they could count on, for anything, anytime, not time nor space changed that In his presence, you would find laughter and joy. You knew where he stood. He lived unapologetically.
Always following his own path, he spent the summer of 2016 travelling across the United States by himself, visiting almost every state. He wore his independence and confidence so easily.
Jake was bright and creative and talented. He loved his music. If he wasn’t making it, he was celebrating it. Spending time laying down beats and mixes, known by many as Chief Twinks he had just begun taking another step towards making his dreams come true, creating the first of what was to be a weekly broadcast, Electric Powwow.
In addition to his parents, brother and sister, Jake leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins, a large extended family, dear friends and two grandparents, A. Robert Dostaler of Northampton, MA and Kathleen M. Germano of West Roxbury, MA. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Marilyn M. Dostaler and John R. Germano, Sr.
