James K. McCuddy

James grew up in Greenville, NH and attended local schools, graduating from Mascenic High School in 1989. He played numerous sports growing up but by far basketball was his favorite and he loved being a Mascenic Viking. 

After graduation he enlisted with the United States Coast Guard. He served his country for a little over four years, earning the Secretary’s Award for Outstanding Achievement and the Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal before being honorably discharged in 1997.  Following his service, James began his twenty-three-year career in the Mutal Fund Industry, most recently with Eaton Vance Distributors, Inc. as a Vice President, Regional Director covering Wisconsin, Northern Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. 

James battled Hodgkins Lymphoma in his late twenties and endured ITP in his late forties. He took both of these challenging times head on with bravery, positivity and leaned on his loved ones for support. James loved the outdoors, traveling, music, sports cars and all New England Sports. James loved his family and never shied away from expressing that with words and hugs. He was known for his quick wit and making others laugh. He was an especially proud Uncle who loved to tease. He will be missed by his entire family as well as friends he has made throughout his life.  

He is predeceased by his Grandparents, Eileen Stacy, Louise McCuddy and James C. McCuddy. His 

Uncles; Raymond, Norman, David, Oscar and Gordon Stacy. His Aunts; Monique, Roberta and Patricia Stacy and his cousins; Lyndsey and Allyson McCuddy. James lost many friends along the way but none as painful as losing his childhood friend Alban Bourgault in 1987.  

James is survived by his wife; Jamie McCuddy of Moultonborough, NH, his parents; Kenneth and Pamela McCuddy of Greenville, NH, his sister; Emily Krook and her husband Benjamin with their sons Owen and his wife Emma from Manchester NH, Blaine, Donovan and Grady all of New Ipswich, NH. His Father-in-law; Matthew Lawrence of Williamsburg, VA. His Mother-in- law; Kathleen Lawrence, his sister-in-law; Jennifer Elliot with her husband Scott and their children Grace, Caroline and Ian all of Moultonborough, NH. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Hope Fellowship Church, 16 Prescott Road Jaffrey, NH 03452. There will be a brief time for sharing at 1:00 and light refreshments will be served. At 1:30 there will be a procession to the burial at the Pleasant Street Cemetery in Greenville, NH.
