Jerome “Trey” William Frederick III
Trey passed away on June 30, 2016 after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was at home, surrounded by loved ones sharing funny memories when he took his last breath.
Born in San Diego, CA, on March 12, 1954 to the late Jerome W. Frederick, Jr. and Gayle Evans. He grew up in Canton, OH. In 1981 he moved to Peterborough NH to live with his mother and step-father, Don Evans, while he searched for work. In April of 1981 he began his 35-year career at Teleflex.
On New Year’s Eve, 1990, Trey and Terry were married in their little apartment on River St. in Jaffrey, with family members as witnesses. Trey was welcomed into the Brow family, and as time passed, love grew and he was no longer considered an in-law, but a son and brother.
Trey was an incredibly, kind, caring person with a fun, witty, personality, his infectious smile and the twinkle in his eye lit up a room. Nothing in the world was more important to him than his family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing at Lake Champlain, grilling delicious foods, working on home improvement projects, watching his big screen TV, and simply visiting with family. For several years, he enjoyed coaching his son, Kyle’s, baseball and basketball teams. He loved playing games of all kinds and as anyone who ever played a game with him knows, he had a fiercely competitive spirit.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 25 years, Terry, daughter, Nicole Dufault, son, Kyle, grandson, Colton Dufault, mother, Gayle and her S.O., Norbert, Dad and Mom (in-law), Sonny and Carol Brow, brother, Doug Evans and his wife Lori, brother (in-law) Eddie Brow and his wife Rachael, his sister (in-law) Patty Frawley, nieces, Stephanie Lehtinen, Shannon Brow, Sarah Evans, Hannah Mercier and her daughter, great-niece, Annessa, nephews Matt and Jacob Brow, very special friends of 40+ years Linda and Ray Hartman, and their son, godson, Matt Hartman and the many other friends he has made over the years.
He was predeceased by his father, Jerome W Frederick, Jr., his step-father, Donald Evans and his nephew Dylan Evans.
At Trey’s request, there will be no services. There will be a celebration of his life to be announced at a later date. Donations may be made in Trey’s memory to HCS – Hospice, PO Box 354, Keene, NH 03431 or Dana Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center for Esophageal Cancer, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
