Joanne 'Jo' Desrosiers

Joanne D. Desrosiers, 62, of Temple, NH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the UMASS Medical Center, Worcester, MA after a sudden illness.

“Jo” was born in Rutland, MA on November 19, 1953 and would of have celebrated her 63rd birthday this upcoming Saturday. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy (Morris) Lupa and was raised in Oakham attending local schools. She was a 1973 graduate of Quabbin Regional High School and achieved her Bachelor’s Degree after attending both Bridgewater State and Mt. Wachusett College. Jo had worked as a Printed Circuit Board Technician at Oil Recovery Systems in Greenville, NH until retiring in 2004. It was there that Jo had met the love of her life, Raymond ‘Moe’ Desrosiers and they have been inseparable for over 30 years.

Since retirement, Jo loved to perform volunteer work and had a love for cats. Much of her time was spent happily caring for the cats at Kitty Rescue here in Jaffrey. She enjoyed caring for her people just as much and spent time visiting and helping elderly and home-bound friends. She will be remembered for her thoughtful and caring ways.

In her free time, Jo, loved building puzzles – rarely being able to actually eat at the dining room table as a puzzle was usually under construction there. The remainder of her time was either spent drawing or relaxing at her beloved Shir-Roy campground in Richmond, NH with her close friend, Shirley Domin.

Jo will be dearly missed by her husband, Raymond ‘Moe’ Desrosiers of Temple; her sister Darlene Gill of Redwood, CA and her brother, Jim and his wife Cheryl Lupa of New Berlin, NJ, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held later and will be announced when arrangements have been finalized.
